I was inspired to get this when my brother, Ross, passed away in March of 2011 and we had a tree planted for him in the holy gardens of Jerusalem. I only knew him when we lived together as children, his passing made me realize that my family is only as scattered as I make it to be. Ross made me realize that everything I could ever come to love can leave me just as quickly as they came. The tree is family and inner strength, the leaf is Ross, the sun is new beginnings.

The design was draw by my friend Mason ( http://livingthroughpages.tumblr.com/) He’s an absolutely gifted artist as well a wonderful person. (He’s drawn a lot of his own portraits.) I was inked by the incredible Korie of Jim’s Tattoo in Seabrook, New Hampshire. He’s undoubtedly one of the best people I have ever had the pleasure of chatting with. I highly recommend them.

This is my long awaited for TARDIS tattoo. I am a HUGE fan of Doctor Who. My best friends and my then boyfriend (now husband) and I bonded over it when I still lived in California. My husband and I still watch old and new episodes in our free time. This TARDIS is a start to a whole Doctor Who themed half sleeve/sleeve. I haven’t decided yet! There are so many reasons I love the show, the fact that it makes me feel close to my best friends even though we’re half a country away, the fact that it reminds me that anything is possible…I guess I’m just a nerd. :)

This amazing tattoo was done by Joey Bergeron at Revolution Ink in Leesville, Louisiana. An amazing shop run by amazing people that turns out amazing tattoos.

My Harry Potter Skeleton Key With Wings!
Reading the Harry Potter books as a child changed my life. My mother was abusive and my father didn’t want the state to take me away. I needed an escape from the hurt while my dad found a place for us to go. I began reading the books in secret because my mother said that J.K wrote them with the devils hand. I found my own world of magic among the pages that kept a piece of my childhood innocent. Harry Potter will always be a part of me.
